Mr. Folorunsho Majiyagbe
Folorunsho obtained his undergraduate and masters (LLM in the Legal Aspects of Marine Affairs) law degrees from Cardiff Law School, University of Wales in 1995 and 1996 respectively.
He was admitted to the Nigerian Bar in 1999 and the Bar of England and Wales (Honourable Society of the Middle Temple) in 2001.
In November 1999, Folorunsho joined the firm of Strachan Partners, Lagos, Nigeria as an Associate and in 2001 he moved to the firm of Banwo & Ighodalo also in Lagos for one year.
Articles written and papers delivered by Folorunsho include:
- "The Clamour for Cabotage Laws in Nigeria" presented to the Nigerian House of Representatives in 2001.
- In January 2002, he co-authored the section of E-Commerce in the Economist Intelligence Unit's country report for Nigeria.
- "The Exclusivity of the Warsaw Convention Regime vis-à-vis Actions and Remedies under Nigerian Laws", a co-authored article was published in Air and Space Law journal in 2006.
- In April, 2008 he delivered his paper, “Legislative Oversight in the Aviation Industry” to the Aviation Committee of the Federal House of Representatives.
- In May 2008, his article, “Unraveling International Air Carrier Liability under Nigerian Law” was published in Guardian Law.
Folorunsho is a member of the Nigerian and International Bar Associations.
He specialises in Litigation and Arbitration, Aviation and Corporate and Commercial law.
