Mr. David D. Onietan - Managing Partner, Kano Office
David obtained his law degree from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria in 1984 and was admitted to the Nigeria Bar in 1985.
He obtained a Masters in Business Administration from the Usman Dan-Fodio University, Sokoto, Nigeria in 1997.
Between 1985 and 1986, he worked as Counsel for Legal Aid after which he joined the firm of S. O. Olodo & Co., Sokoto.
In 1987, he co-founded the firm of Jibril, Dafe, Onietan & Co. in Sokoto where he practiced until its dissolution in 2000 after which he accepted an invitation to join the firm of J. B. Majiyagbe & Co. as a Partner.
He is a former Member of the Editorial Board of the Modern Quarterly Law Review of Nigeria and a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.
David's areas of specialization are Litigation and Arbitration, Banking and Finance, Insurance and Real Estate law.
