About the Firm
The firm was registered in Kano, the commercial nerve center of northern Nigeria in 1971 by Jonathan B. Majiyagbe (SAN), one of Nigeria's leading Silks.
It is comprised of three partners, two of whom are also members of the Bar of England & Wales, eight other lawyers and twenty-five support staff. We adopt a partner-led team approach when acting for clients, with a designated partner assembling a team with the requisite skills and experience to serve the individual client's needs by providing the best solution available within the ambits of the law.
Although the firm's reputation was initially built on litigation and arbitration, we have developed a successful general commercial practice and over the years, have been involved in a substantial portion of all major corporate transactions within Kano in particular and northern Nigeria in general.
The firm is listed in the Recommended Firms section of The Legal 500.
